Friday Fright Night
Directed by Mike Fatum
October 30, 2020
The 2nd production of the Together Apart Season
Are you ready to get spooked on the eve of Halloween? Join us for Friday Fright Night: a series of virtual readings of three of literature’s creepiest stories: The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe, The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell, and The Petting Zoo by Peter de Niverville.
The Tell-Tale Heart introduces an unnamed narrator who endeavors to convince the reader of the their sanity while simultaneously describing a murder that they committed. The Most Dangerous Game chronicles a hunter from New York City who falls off a yacht and swims to what seems to be an abandoned island in the Caribbean, where he is invited by a Russian aristocrat to join in the hunt for singularly exotic big game. The Petting Zoo features a spider obsessed protagonist — a man who has been gathering ants in a jar from a nest since childhood — dropping the wriggling insects into the web one by one.
Performances will be streamed to audiences live from the performers’ homes on Friday, October 30th at 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Tickets available at https://www.onthestage.com/show/pacifica-spindrift-players/friday-fright-night-39957/.
Prepare for a spine-tingling night!
