The online ballot for Pacifica Spindrift Players’ 2020 Executive Board Elections is now live!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, voting will be held electronically this year. Please place your vote(s) to fill the five open seats on our Executive Board using our online ballot by July 25th at 2pm, which corresponds with the start of our virtual Annual Meeting of the Membership. Results will be announced at that time.

While our online ballot asks for each voter’s name and membership status, please know that your vote remains anonymous and separated from your name; the information provided is used only to confirm the status of your membership and validate your ballot overall.

Through this process, we’ve learned that the Membership requirement to run for the board – combined with the historically limited candidate and voter turnout for Board elections – likely present current barriers to further diversifying our leadership team at this time.

We are currently in the process of critically examining our processes from the inside out with an eye toward trying to identify and overcome barriers to entry to leadership roles within our theatre, as part of a larger process for making PSP a more diverse and inclusive creative space for theatre artists from all communities.

We also acknowledge that this process is itself a community effort and very much welcome and invite feedback, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any suggestions or perspectives you might wish to share.
